Restore a Compromised Tooth With a Natural-Looking Crown

Repair and Protect

After you have received treatment to repair the trauma or decay that affected the tooth, a dental crown protects the tooth from further damage, which in turn can prevent the need for extraction.

A Lasting Solution

A range of state-of-the-art porcelain ceramic crown materials engineered to withstand normal biting forces can last up to a decade or more with regular visits to the dentist and proper dental care.

Natural Look and Feel

The medical-grade ceramics used to craft porcelain crowns mimic the light-reflecting properties of enamel and can be matched to the shade of surrounding teeth for a seamless smile.

I love this place! The girls at the desk are so kind and attentive. I recently got Luminners after getting a crown and teeth cleaning. I have never been to a Dentist that was so (gentle) with me. Dr. Tony always talks with you during the process. He made me so comfortable. He's is the most caring Dentist I've ever had. I can't say enough good things. Just amazing that there is a team put together like this. Thanks again Desert Springs Dental!!!

I have not been to the Dentist in a VERY long time. I went to Desert a Spring’s for a check up and cleaning and was prepared for a lecture about going to the dentist. Let me say, I Love this place! Dr. Yazmin and her two Techs were amazing! I never got the lecture, I do have to have work done but I’m not nervous at all about doing it and I will stay on top of visits going forward! Thank you for making this so easy!!!

Dental Crown Placement Process

Examination & Consultation

Our dentist will determine if a dental crown is your best solution. Once candidacy is established, together we can decide the best material to use to suit your individual needs.

Tooth Preparation

The area of the tooth damaged by trauma or tooth decay will be removed. To create a base for the crown, the tooth will be reshaped and resized.

Impressions Taken

Our dentist will take impressions of your tooth in order to have your crown fabricated. A temporary crown will be placed over your tooth. This temporary crown will provide protection to your tooth while your permanent restoration is being made.

Fabrication

Your impressions will be sent off to a porcelain ceramics lab for to have your dental crown fabricated to the exacting standards of our Tucson, AZ, dentistry.

Crown Placement

Our dentist will remove your temporary crown and place your final restoration to make sure it fits comfortably. Once everything is in place, your crown will be secured with dental cement.

A Restored Smile

While some patients experience mild sensitivity, this typically resolves itself after a few days. With no downtime required, you can begin to enjoy your new smile immediately.
